Volunteering is recognised by everyone as an indispensable part of intervention that extends its capacity to instigate change beyond borders, social classes, cultures or beliefs.
Volunteering is an integral part of organised participation where everyone can share a part of their time, knowledge, resources and hopes.
The University of Girona, as an educational institution and a social reference point, wishes to raise consciousness and provide training for the university community to individually or collectively undertake volunteering project initiatives.
Actions to promote volunteering:
- Training and consciousness-raising campaigns.
- Promoting the participation of members of the university community in internal and external volunteering projects: the volunteering bank of the UdG.
- Opening doors and helping to make known the volunteering projects carried out by other organisations.
- Creating academic activities, in collaboration with other entities, aimed at training for and participation in volunteering: free choice courses, practicums, final year projects, company internships, research activities...
