Functions of the Committee
The functions of the Committee in the field of cooperation for development are:
1. Define the UdG policy in this area.
2. Promote cooperation activities within and outside of the university.
3. Carry out proposals to assign financial resources to the various projects or activities.
4. Guarantee the consistency and effectiveness of the actions carried out.
5. Supervise the acquisition of financial resources required to carry out the activities.
6. Monitor and evaluate the financed projects and activities.
7. Know the revenue set aside and the expenses incurred annually by the UdG in this respect.
8. Publicize the activities, the projects carried out and the results obtained.
9. Approve and present an annual report to the Board of Governors about the activities carried out, as well as the use given to the funds set aside for cooperation.
10. Circulate the report presented to the Board of Governors among the entire university community.
11. Promote the signing of collaboration agreements with other institutions.
12. Propose the organisation of educational and consciousness-raising activities aimed at the entire university community and at the general population in relation with solidarity and cooperation for development.
13. Foment initiatives to promote volunteerism and train volunteers among workers and students of the UdG.
14. Promote collaboration activities through agreements with organisations associated with the UdG.
15. Appeal for financial assistance for the projects.
16. Define the regions and areas in situations of emergency and therefore deserving priority cooperation action programmes.
17. Create, when opportune, technical committees to evaluate and assess projects made up of staff from the university community and/or outside experts.
