A UK company that provides research and design services has developed a novel, patent-pending radical alternative to traditional keyword search. Instead of a one-dimensional search box, concepts are expressed and manipulated as objects on a two-dimensional canvas. They are seeking technology partners, content partners and beta testers to develop this tool.
This UK company provides research and design services to help create user-centred interactive products and services. Their work is based around a philosophy of user-centred design, with an emphasis on evidence-based research from the fields of cognitive psychology and human-computer interaction.
The company's research program focuses on human-information interaction; in particular the challenges involved in understanding and modelling the context in which people interact with information systems and in developing novel interaction metaphors and technologies to apply that understanding.
The company's CEO and founder has 20 years' experience, which includes degrees in engineering, human-computer interaction and cognitive psychology - elements of which have combined to create this unique service. A leader in the design of 'search and discovery' experience, the CEO edits an online journal and has written 70 scientific papers on search, user experience and text analytics.
Much of the company's recent work has focused on the challenges involved in searching, navigating and sense-making within complex information spaces.
This has three primary facets:
• Investigation of novel text analytics techniques for extracting structure and meaning from unstructured information sources • Development of new interaction and visualisation techniques for exploring complex information spaces • Empirical studies of human information-seeking behaviour, in particular the user experience of exploratory search and knowledge discovery applications.
They also have on-going research collaborations with a variety of organisations, universities and laboratories and are always open to new research cooperation agreements of this kind (such as Horizon 2020 - H2020).
They are interested in collaborative, long-term projects with companies across all sectors as technical cooperation agreements interested in enhancing their clients' experience.

Enterprise Europe Network d'Open Innovation.
