Cerca de socis: H2020 MIGRATION-05-2018-2020 integration challenges for migrant children

A partnership led by an Italian operator and a Greek operator, is preparing a proposal to analyze and develop policy recommendations for school integration policies in a multicultural society, tackling the issue of migrant pupils. Partners operating at institutional and operative level and R&D bodies, active in other key countries for the migration flows, are sought.

Volíem informar de la següent petició en el Enterprise Europe Network:

A transnational partnership is working on the proposal "SHIPS: ScHool Integration Policies in a multicultural Society" to be submitted under the H2020 call MIGRATION-05-2018-2020 "Mapping and overcoming integration challenges for migrant children" (by 13 March 2018). Currently, the partnership is led by an Italian non profit SME, based in the south of Italy,  and working since 1989 in the fields of inclusion, education, cooperation and local development, with a consolidated experience in the delivery of targeted services as well as in the identification of policies and good practices at regional and national level. Other partners include a Greek operator with a similar profile and an Italian national institutional body for education. The  issue of school integration policies for migrant pupils is very pressing due to growing cultural, linguistic and  ethnic diversity and to socio-economic inequalities. The proposal intends to analyze the situation of the integration process of foreign minors in the different school contexts at  EU level, integrating knowledge and experience from different countries both where the issue is present for a long time and where it is raising in more recent years, in order to identify good practices and deficiencies at different levels and dimensions (policies, measures, regulations, approaches).  A second goal is to gain, by means of specific surveys, a better understanding of the individual condition (pedagogical, psychological) of different migrant pupils (from existing migration cohorts, children of refugees and asylum seekers, and unaccompanied minors, including those residing in hotspots and reception centres) in order to identify situations of dis-integration and to enable personalised measures.  The third pillar of the project is to set up a systematic bottom-up process to collect, compare and share indications from different operators (school personnel, public and private operators, local and central institutions) by the activation of Local Working Groups to consider the impact of different factors (i.e. standard of living, housing, pedagogy, psychology, etc.). The final goal of the project is the elaboration and transfer of the main findings to policy makers and other stakeholders at different territorial and institutional levels. The proponents intend to extend the partnership to countries involved in the phenomenon of immigration, with particular attention to the presence of accompanied and unaccompanied minors, and to involve different subjects who are an active part, albeit at different levels, of the process of school integration: 1) Organizations / associations of the public/private sector that provide services to the immigrant population; 2) Educational and Social institutions  involved in policy definition and implementation; 3) Research organisations, particularly with pedagogical and psycological expertise on this  field. A European vision of the issues and a complete mastery in your own country is necessary. The call deadline is 13 March 2018 while Expressions of Interests will be accepted by 28 February 2018 at the latest.
