Researchers from GRMAR_UdG and LIG_UdG from the University of Girona start two studies relating the condition, reproduction, parasitism and genètics of Sardine, with the aim to understand the decline of its captures.

These studies are financed by the FEMP and the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades of the Spanish Government. The project will be developed in collaboration with fishermen associations from Palamós, l'Escala, Roses, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Blanes, Tarragona, Vilanova i la Geltrú and the group GALP Costa Brava.
