Activitats d'avaluació: Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat % CONTINUOS AVALUATION: Lab sessions and Problem solving The practices are done in the workshop / lab within the stipulated time. The mark of this activity (LS) represents % of the final grade (FG). This note will be calculated based on two components that are directly added: behavioural mark in the workshop / laboratory, evaluated by a rubric that will be published at the beginning of the year, and the delivered report itself. - The Problem Solving activity (PS) consist of solving different types of exercises using different forms of learning methods. It is composed of two parts, the compulsary problems to be done during the classes and, the work the student will held at home. The overall grade of this activity represents % of the FG. It is obtained by the resolution and delivery of problems during the class hour, with an attitudinal note evaluated using a rubric that will be published at the beginning of the course,. There will be a research group task, based on collaborative based learning methodology. This activity will represent % FG. 25 MID-TERM EXAM The MID-TERM EXAMN (MT) is an activity of continuous assessment, compulsory attendance and recoverable. - Regarding the assessment part consists of two parts: i) 50% of theory articulated in questions. There will be no form nor calculator. ii) 50% of problems articulated in one or several short problems. With a clean form (nothing written on it). It requires a minimum of 3.5 in both the theory and problems to pass the exam.and calculate the mean. The review will be done during a theory or problem class. This activity accounts represent 30% of the FG. 30 FINAL EXAM The final exam (FE) is compulsory and recoverable. It also consists of two parts: i) 50% of theory articulated in questions. There will be no form nor calculator. ii) 50% problem solving., articulated in one or several issues short. With a clean form ( nothing written on it). It requires a minimum of 3.5 in both the theory and problems to pass the exam.and calculate the mean. The examination review is a done in a classroom with all students together, at a date and time set. Written claims will be required. This activity accounts represent 45% of the FG. 45
The activities carried out by continuous assessment, including the mid-term exam must be delivered to the teacher within the time established at the beginning of the course. Once this deadline is finished, the delivery of a task will not be accepted and it will be qualified with a score of 0 points. The final grade for the course (FG) is calculated considering: • The Lab sessions mark (LS) ) which counts 10% of the final mark. • The Problem Solving sessions mark (PS) which counts 10% of the final mark. • The mid-term exam (MT) which counts 35% of the final mark. It is mandatory to have a minimum of 4 of to be considered within the final mark calculation. Recoverable activity within the period of recovery. The date of this examination will be communicated during the first week of classes through Moodle. • The final exam (FE) will count 45% of the final mark. It is mandatory to have a minimum of 4 to be considered in the final of the subject. Recoverable activity within the period of recovery. The date of this examination is defined by the EPS in the normal assessment period. Final grade (FG) is calculated according to the following procedure: • Final grade (FG) = 10%LS + 10%PS +35% MT + 45% FE In recovery period students can retrieve the evaluation of recoverable activities as long as it fulfills the EPS rules of evaluation of undergraduate ; which says that in order to be entitled to recover any activity during the recovery period, the student must have obtained the final grade for the course a minimum of 3 out of 10. It requires a minimum of 3.5 in both the theory and problems to pass the exam and calculate the mean The date of this examination is defined during the recovery period for the EPS. In the continuous evaluation activities rubrics will be used and they will be available at the beginning of the course. Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:The Non Attended (NA) mark will be provided if the student leaves the continuous evaluation before 20th March 2017 and/or do not attend the compulsory evaluation activities. If continuous evaluation is left after this date, students will not have a Non Attended (NA) as a final mark.
