Must achieve >50% to pass the subject overall. Must also achieve an average of >50% for the combined total of the practical exams. Must be present for >80% of classes. Failure to comply with 80% practical class attendance will require students to sit the Basic Competencies Exam (BCE). All certified non-attendance needs to be provided to the subject coordinator via email (scanned documents) within one week of non-attendance. General Instructions - Nonattendance: If you are aware you will not be able to attend a class, please notify appropriate professor prior to the class. If you are not able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, certified reasons for nonattendance must be provided via email within one week of missing the class, otherwise this class shall be deemed as absent. - Exams: 2 exams (lower and upper limb). Students must get a final average above 5 to pass the subject. A grade below 5 will require sitting the BCE. The BCE will consist of a theoretical and practical exam. Students who pass the BCE will get a final mark for the subject of 5/10. - Oral project presentation: This is a group project that will consist of a presentation in front of the whole class. The themes will be related to describing and explaining different manual therapies techniques (i.e: Mulligan; Mezieres, Kaltenborn, McConnels, Myofascial release; Cranio-Sacral Therapy, etc) or Professions i.e: (Chiriopraxy; Osteopathy; Acupuncture; Massage Therapy, etc.). The mark for this project will account for 15% of the total subject final mark. - Written Assignment on laws and legislation in different countries Group work. Students are required to deliver a written assignment before May 17th. Any documents received on or after May 18th, will be penalized by 50% of the final mark. The mark for this work will account for 5% of the total subject final mark.
