They prepare an oral presenataion and a written report. 30 Writing Student writing tasks will be evaluated on: Grammar and Vocabulary, Task Achievement, Style and Register, Cohesion and Coherence. Appropriate at B2.1 10 Participation To qualify for for continuous assessment, students must attend 80% of classes. Students will be evaluated on their active participation, both individually and within their study groups. 20 Speaking. General speaking competencies for physiotherapy at B2.1 10 Final assessment for students who have completed continuous assessment and attended 80% of classes. Listening, reading and lexical/grammar skills appropriate to B2.1. 30
In order to pass, students must obtain a minimum mark of 5 for continuous assessment. All students must obtain a minimum of 5 in the final exam. Resit students must pass with a mark of 5. Students who have not satisfied the requirements for continous assessment will be assessed in one exam. The pass mark is 5. This course is designed to help B2.1 students develop their receptive and productive skills in English. It is an intensive course and students are expected to work both in and outside the classroom to ensure that they acquire the grammar, vocabulary, and communicative skills required for the level. Students must attend 80% of classes to qualify for continuous assessment.
