Activitats d'avaluació:

In order to pass the subject, students following a continuous assessment will be requested to fullfill the following requirements:
1) Five deliverable tasks. Students will be required to work in groups in order to integrate the theoretical knowledge acquired during the lectures. Each group will deliver a single task per topic following the specified deadlines. Each delivery will account for 6% of the final mark. All deliverable tasks account for 30% of the final mark.

2) Practical exam: two techniques will be performed in pairs. The practical exam will account for 40% of the total mark. A minimum mark of 5/10 is required to pass. Students failing to achieve the minimum will be requested to sit the practical component of the BCE.

3) The theory exam will have multiple choice questions (MCQ). It will account as 30% of the total mark. A penalty will be applied for incorrect answers. Nothing is deducted from unanswered questions. A minimum mark of 5/10 is required to pass. Students failing to achieve the minimum will be requested to sit the practical component of the BCE.

4) Participation in class can be discretionally used by teacher as part of the assessment.

A minimum attendance of 80% to practical workshops is mandatory. Failing to comply with attendance requirements will result in sitting the practical component of the BCE. This rule does not apply for non-continuous assessment students. Please note that students opting to take the non-continuous assessment must notify their decision to the lecturer before the 16th Oct 2020.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Failing to deliver a task, delivering the task after the deadline or not sitting an exam are considered "Not present" and will therefore marked with a zero.

Avaluació única:
For students who opt for the non-continuous assessment, they will be required to take both the practical exam and the theory exam on the 14th Jan 2021.
The practical component is worth 55% and will consist of demonstrating 2 practical techniques from the workshops. A minimum mark of 5/10 is necessary to pass the subject. In case of scoring less than 5/10, the student will be required to sit the BCE for the practical component.
The theory component is worth 45% and will consist of MCQ regarding theoretical concepts acquired throughout the course. A minimum mark of 5/10 is necessary to pass the subject. In case of scoring less than 5/10, the student will be required to sit the BCE for the theory component.

Requisits mínims per aprovar:
In order to pass the subject, all students are required to accomplish a minimum total mark of 5.

The lecturer will be available for mentoring upon previous request by email.

- Recognising the main alterations that the skin can suffer and executing the appropriate cures in an emergency situation.
