Descripció:
No hi ha dubte que els medicaments han permès canviar substancialment el pronòstic d’algunes malalties i millorar els símptomes de moltes altres. Però també és veritat que el medicament és un gran negoci al qual difícilment ningú hi renunciarà. Els medicaments ja fa temps que a més de ser instruments de salut han esdevingut també un bé de consum més. Les conseqüències socials d’aquest situació són devastadores: limitada accessibilitat als medicaments per àmplies capes de la població, malalties prevalents orfes de tractament per motius econòmics, invenció de malalties i inducció a la prescripció, dispensació i ús. Aquesta optativa ofereix la possibilitat de revisar i reflexionar sobre els aspectes socials de l’ús dels medicaments.

  • Reconèixer els elements essencials de la professió mèdica, que incloguin els principis ètics, les responsabilitats legals i l'exercici professional centrat en el pacient
  • Desenvolupar la pràctica professional amb respecte pels altres professionals de la salut, adquirint habilitats de treball en equip

In order to pass the PBL sessions the student needs a mark of 5 out of 10.
