The course grade will derive from in-class presentations by students, with possibly an occasional quiz. Students whose course grade average is above 50% need not take the final exam, but they may choose to do so in case they want a chance to obtain a higher grade. Also, any student can opt to have his/her course evaluation exclusively based on the final exam. Summing up, course grade = max ( course average, final exam).
The syllabus of the course is suggestive of the topics we may cover, which will be finally decided by consensus based on the preferences and interests of the students. We will base our treatment on (generally recent) articles, both academic and from the specialized press.
