PhD in Chemistry, specialization in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, from the University of Barcelona and Master in Biotechnology (UB, UAB and UPC) and in Conflictology (UOC). During the first stage of my research I was a member of the group: "Transport and drugs vehiculation" at the University of Barcelona (1994 - 2003). During this stage I acquired expertise in different biochemistry and molecular biology techniques. Later I belonged to the group: "Translational Medicine and decision support sciences" of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Girona. The research revolved around the analysis of the best existing scientific evidence on different topics and optimizing the ways of disseminating and implementing this evidence in different areas of clinical decision-making (micro, meso and macro levels). I am currently Group Leader of the eHealth Lab Research Group of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). In the field of teaching, I am an associate professor in the area of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, in the Department of Medical Sciences of the UdG and professor of the University Master's in Digital Health (eHealth) of the Open University of Catalonia. I am a member of the Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the field of digital health. I have recently been appointed deputy director of research at the UOC's Health Studies. I am currently the deputy research director of the UOC's Health Sciences Studies and the scientific coordinator of the UOC eHealth Center's community of researchers
