La Meva UdG is an online communication and information tool, resulting from the fusion of a teaching intranet and a corporate portal. The main objectives of La Meva UdG are:

• To provide electronic support for and complement face-to-face and mixed mode teaching in all the programmes of study.
• To support the European convergence process for programmes of study.
• To offer a quick and efficient system of communication between various groups of the University community.
• To offer a system to organise and post private and specific information for the different groups.
• To integrate the various web applications at the UdG into a single portal that also integrates security access control so that once you have identified yourself in the system you do not have to do it again to move from one application to another.
  

As a teaching intranet, it allows teaching staff and students to communicate electronically, offering various communication tools for each subject: news and announcements, forums, document manager, links, evaluations and self-evaluations, in addition to subject-specific information: lecturer(s), timetable, course syllabus (objectives, programme, bibliography...)

As a corporate portal, it displays announcements and information for different groups of individuals; lecturers will find the announcements and information about the subjects they teach, from his/her department, from the faculty or school where classes are taught, that are of interest to them as lecturers and that relate to the UdG as a whole; students will find the announcements and information about the subjects for which they have registered, from their faculty or school, that are of interest to them as students and that relate to the UdG as a whole.

La Meva UdG has been designed and developed by the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching taking into account the needs of different faculties and schools as communicated by representatives from each one.

The importance of the established objectives makes La Meva UdG a strategic tool for teaching, communicating and posting electronic information and for that reason it is constantly under development to improve its existing functions and add more of them to it.
