Brief curriculum of Prof. Angel López

He has Developed his activity as engineer in the industry as well as in the university. Both activities and other as consultant have been carried out at the same time.

Since 1978 until nowadays: Staff professor of the Polytechnical University of Catalunya (Polytechnical School of Girona). After foundation of the University of Girona, in 1992, until now, he is a staff professor of the Polytechnical School of this University.

Since 1999 he works at full time teaching and researching in UdG.

Member of the research group LEPAMAP of the UdG (GRCT76), where he is responsible of the quality

system as well as research projects. During 2005 he has the responsibility to obtain the CIDEM certification of

“Center of innovation of the Industry Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya” as well as ISO 9001

certification for LEPAMAP group (http:\\lepamap.udg.edu).

His research line is related with the life cycle of polymeric materials and related energy.

He has promoted more than fifty final projects of engineers, final projects of post-graduated students and

doctorate courses.

He managed the master “Master in Technical Managin of UdG” (2000-2004).

He gives lessons in the first, second and third cycle of:

“Control and automatic process” (ITIQI, ITAIA) since 1987-1979

“Basic industrial facilities” (ITIQI, ITAIA) since 1993-94

“Food engineering” (CTA) since 2001-02

“Simulation and optimisation of Processes” since 2003

“Techniques of protection of MA (Optative) since 2003

“Policy and culture of the Industry, managing of time, Fluids and Costs (MDT) since 2000-2001

1986.

Since 2004 until nowadays he has been the Manager of the Chemical Engineering Section of the

Polytechnical School and member of the Permanent Commission of the Department of Chemical

Engineering. Member of the Council of the Polytechnical School of the University of Girona.

Since 1963 until 1998: Engineer in the Company SAFA in Blanes (

also later called Poulenc Fibras, and Nylstar)

where he developed different activities such as:

1972: Manager of electrical and mechanical maintenance, Supervisor of the radioactive facilities.

1983: Manager of Control and administration of material. Manager of maintenance.

1989: Manager of the service of material: Services of maintenance, production and distribution of fluids.

1987-1998: Representant of the Company in the international working groups that Rhône Poulec created

bout organization and distribution of materials, reduction of costs and computer developing.

Stays in the European Centres of Rhône Poulenc Group: Besançon, Valence, Lyón, Arras, Chalampe

(France), Freiburg (Germany), Widnay (Switzerland), Cescano-madeno (Italy)

He participated in the process of introduction of the Total Quality and ISO 9001 Certification in the Spanish

Centers of Rhône Poulenc Group.

Sin 1980 until 1995. Advisor Engineer of the foundation “La Caixa”

He coordinated studies related with economy and rural environments of the provinces of Girona and

Barcelona (both of them published by the foundation “La Caixa”)

He gave special courses for entrepreneurs and enterprising, in Girona, Barcelona, Lleida, Tarragona,

Palencia, Zaragoza, Teruel, Lugo, Valencia, Cádiz, Las Palmas, Tenerife. Within this task, he advised to the

promoters for evaluating more than 400 investment projects about improvements in enterprising processes

as well as about business projects of new implantation.

Other activities:

In 1975 he participated in the promotor team for the foundation of the Spanish Association of Maintenance

AEM. He was also member of the managing committee.

In 1980 he participated in the group that created the company Langley for the construction of facilities of

products of energy disposal. He was manager of developing since 1980 until 1982.

He carried out works for: Department of environment of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the food and

pharmacist companies
