		His main field of research is the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic Period in Catalonia. He directs the UdG team that carries out research into this period at the Serinyà settlements (Pla d l’Estany), especially at the Arbreda Cave (http://www.plaestany.cat). In recent years he has also directed cooperation projects with the Western Sahara, where the UdG team has set up the National Museum of the Saharan People in the 27th February refugee camp (Tinduf, Algeria). The aim is to make an inventory of and bring to public knowledge the prehistoric heritage of the Western Sahara, particularly its cave art (http://www.udg.edu/sahara).
