		Mònica Bosch Portell (Girona, 1966) graduated in History and History of Art at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Between 1991 and 1994 she was a research fellow of the Jaume Vicens Vives University Institute of History of the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, where she completed doctoral courses. Between 1996 and 2006 she worked as Technical Secretary of the Institute of Catalan Language and Culture of the University of Girona. She is currently Associate Lecturer in Contemporary History at the UdG. Her main research lines are as follows: - The structure of landowners as the dominant and ruling class of the Girona region in the 18th and 19th centuries. - Tenant farmers of the region of Girona from a historical perspective. - The progress of agricultural individualism in Catalonia in the 18th and 19th centuries. - The transformation of the rural world in the counties of Girona over the last fifty years and its impact on the various social agents (especially landowners and tenant farmers).
