		Marta Ministral has been a Lecturer in Geography and the Management of Tourism Areas as part of the Tourism Degree course since 1991. She holds a Doctorate in Geography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2000). Prior to this she completed postgraduate studies in Engineering and Environmental Management (COEC, 1990) and as a Hospitality Educator (American Hotel & Motel Association, 1995). She acts as a consultant to Local Councils and Country Councils in the improvement of the public-private management of tourism and the enhancement of territorial resources in the tourism offering. She also focuses on the international teaching of tourism and its responsible management in universities. She has spent periods in foreign universities and has worked for twelve months at Leeds Metropolitan University (UK, 2007), where she collaborated with the International Centre for Responsible Tourism.
