ALEGRET TEJERO, Joan Lluís

Lecturer in Social Anthropology
Director of the UdG-Palamós Chair of Maritime Studies
Research interests: Anthropology of fishing
Doctor of Social Anthropology. He has been a lecturer at the Central American University of Managua (Nicaragua) and at the UAB Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has been a visitor lecturer at the Rutgers University, NJ, USA; University of Laval, Canada; University of URACCAN, Nicaragua; University of la Laguna, Spain and at the University of Costa Rica.

He is currently a lecturer at the University of Girona and carries out teaching and research as Coordinator of the Maritime fishing Social Studies Group of the UdG and he is Director of the UdG-Palamós Chair of Maritime Studies. He has been a Mayor's Representative for the Development Cooperation Affairs and coordinator for the Master in Euroarabian Studies. His research interests focuses on Maritime Anthropology and on the Ethnology of Western Sahara.
