Cost of joint masters and Erasmus Mundus it will be determinated by the Consortium of Universities that is responsible of training organization, and the price will be the same for all the universities participants.
Joint master total cost:
- EU students (within European Economic Area): 7.000 € (1)
- Non EU students (outside European Economic Area): 14.000 € (2)
(1) Cost of the tuition fee includes the registration of two academic years in all three universities, more expenses derived from the coordination, tutoring, academic progress and program management.

Educational objectives
The objective of this masters programme is to provide students with advanced knowledge in the field of tourism management in order to become public administration tourism managers, managing directors in tourism, entrepreneurs, skilled employees, international consultants and academic researchers in the field of tourism.

Curriculum structure
The proposed two-year programme is divided into four semesters with 30 ECTS credits in each one.
The first semester, S1 (30 ECTS credits, September-January), is held at the University of Southern Denmark, on the Esbjerg campus. The subjects are: Sustainable Tourism Development (8 ECTS credits); Strategic Communication (8 ECTS credits); Leisure and Tourism Economics (6 ECTS credits); Project Management (8 ECTS credits).
The second semester, S2 (30 ECTS credits, February-June), takes place at the University of Ljubljana. The subjects (6 ECTS credits each) are: Environmental Economics in Tourism; Environmental Management in Tourism; Tourism Policy; Tourism and the EU; Research Methods in Tourism I.
The third semester, S3 (30 ECTS credits, September-January), is carried out at the University of Girona. The subjects are: Partnership and Network Management in Tourism (6 ECTS credits); Local Tourism Destination Development and Management (6 ECTS credits); Cultural Tourism in Urban Destinations (3 ECTS credits); Public finance and economic management of local tourism destinations (6 ECTS credits); Innovation and Quality Management in Tourism (6 ECTS credits); Contractual arrangements in the management of tourist products and destinations (3 ECTS credits); Research Methods in Tourism II (3 ECTS credits).
The fourth semester, S4, is dedicated exclusively to the masters thesis: Masters Thesis 30 ECTS.

Admission profile, previous education requirements and admission and selection criteria
The student profile is that of a university graduate interested in applied research and management in the field of tourism.
Admission requirements:
Candidates who hold diplomas (180 ECTS credits) in tourism or in the human, economic, legal or social sciences will be given priority for admission to the European Master in Tourism Management.
In general, students who have foreign higher education degrees must have them officially recognised as equivalent to a Spanish degree leading to postgraduate studies.

Pre-registration and registration
Pre-registration must be completed online.
First pre-registration period: will begin on 2 April and will run until 1 July 2007.
Admission decisions: on 18 July 2007.
First registration period: from 20 until 30 July 2007.
If places are still available, a new pre-registration period will be open from 20 July until 19 September 2007.

Admission to the Doctoral programme
Students can apply for admission to the doctoral course of any Official Postgraduate Programme (POP, Programes Oficials de Postgrau) at the University of Girona provided they have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS credits in a POP programme or have an official master’s degree and have completed a minimum of 300 ECTS credits in their undergraduate and postgraduate studies at a university or other centre of higher education. The applications will be reviewed by the Doctoral Council of each programme.
