Educational objectives
The masters aims to provide permanent training in research, intervention and public policies for youth. This is an inter-university and interdisciplinary proposal whose goal is to attract professionals, researchers and teachers who work or want to work in this sector.

Curriculum structure
1) The masters comprises eight modules that make up the 60 credits.
- Module 1: Youth in the globalisation era (5 ECTS credits)
- Module 2: Studies and research on youth (5 ECTS credits)
- Module 3: Youth policies and programmes (5 ECTS credits)
- Module 4: Youth, education and participation (5 ECTS credits)

- Module 6: Youth and communication (5 ECTS credits)
- Module 7: Practicum (20 ECTS credits)
- Module 8: Track related to the official postgraduate programme of each university (10 ECTS credits)
2) Only two modules have optional subjects:
a) Module 7 (the practicum module; 20 ECTS credits) requires making a choice between an internship in an institution (10 ECTS credits) or research work (10 ECTS credits). In addition, students are expected to take a study trip, attend introductory sessions and participate actively in conferences.
b) Module 8 (track related to the official postgraduate programme of each university) is a free choice module that, nevertheless, requires the approval of the Masters Council (to decide if the proposal fits the training profile and the track chosen by the student).
Description of the tracks of the masters:
If students choose the professional track, in module 7 (the practicum) they must complete 10 credits by doing an internship in an institution. In addition, with the previous approval of the Masters Council, they must choose 10 credits in subjects appropriate to the module associated with the track related to the official postgraduate programme of each university.
If they chose the research track or specialisation, they must do 10 credits, within module 7 (the practicum), designing and completing final research work instead of doing an internship in an institution. The research work consists of a supervised empirical experiment. In addition, with the previous approval of the Masters Council, they must choose 10 credits in subjects appropriate to the module associated with the track related to the official postgraduate programme of each university.
