Educational objectives
This masters aims to develop skills specific to the textile, paper and graphic sectors. It has a dual focus: professional and research. It is aimed at professional training needs, as well as at research and innovation applied to the entire production line and design process of textile and paper products. The contents, adapted to corresponding needs, can be chosen by masters students specialising in either textiles or paper and graphics. In their different training aspects, both are interdisciplinary and thereby achieve objectives determined by the various subjects.

Curriculum structure
The Masters in Textile, Paper and Graphic Engineering is taught with two specialisations: Textiles, and Paper and Graphics. The Paper and Graphics specialisation is offered jointly by the University of Girona (UdG) and the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), while the Textiles specialisation is only offered at the UPC.
The curriculum structure of the Paper and Graphics track at the UdG is organised in the following way:
- Semester 1
- UdG: 10 specific ECTS credits
- 5 cross-curricular ECTS credits
- UPC: 15 specific ECTS credits
- Semester 2
- UdG: 30 specific ECTS credits
- Semester 3
- UdG: 10 specific ECTS credits
- 13 optional ECTS credits
- 2 cross-curricular ECTS credits
- UPC: 5 specific ECTS credits
- Semester 4
- UdG: 20 ECTS credits (project)
- UPC: 10 specific ECTS credits
The contents of this general curriculum structure are intended to provide specific knowledge about the paper pulp manufacturing, paper conversion and printing process industries which will ensure that graduates are able to develop their professional or research careers in these sectors.

Career opportunities
The paper and graphic sector is complex and involves many areas in which the graduates of this masters programme can put their skills to use. The areas related to the paper and graphic sector in which graduates will find professional opportunities are paper and graphic engineering itself, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic and computer engineering, process automation, energy management, environmental management, chemistry and chemical engineering, agricultural and forest engineering and industrial microbiology, as applied to paper and graphic engineering.

Admission profile, previous education requirements and admission and selection criteria
All official university graduates (three-year degrees or more), engineers (including technical engineers) and architects (including architectural technologists) can be admitted to these studies, as can all those who meet the requirements.
