Subsidised (to give a general idea of what this means, for the 2006-2007 academic year the price has been set at 24-28 € per ECTS credit; in anticipation of approval of a Government of Catalonia decree, expected by June 2007, an approximate increase of between 5% and 7% can be calculated for the 2007-2008 academic year). |

Educational objectives
This masters aims to achieve a good relationship between the academic and the professional worlds providing a high quality response to both public and private labour market demands linked to local cultural heritage. That implies having a deep understanding of administrative and legal issues, of the latest technologies used in the field of heritage and of the most successful experiences, as well as having an interdisciplinary approach based on the application of new methods and systems originating in other fields of knowledge (management, human team management, cultural marketing, new ways and means of financing, etc.).
It is specifically aimed at giving professionals and people interested in cultural heritage the conceptual and practical tools required to manage it.

Curriculum structure
The masters programme consists of 60 ECTS credits and lasts for one academic year. Its structure is as follows:
- Cross-curricular university and postgraduate courses: 15 credits, to be chosen from a list of subjects.
- Compulsory masters courses: 18 credits (six subjects of 3 ECTS credits each). Emphasis will be given especially to the theoretical basis of management, to the implication of cultural heritage in regional management and development, and also to local cultural heritage management models and organisations.
- Optional masters courses: 9 credits. Courses planned specifically for this masters and other courses offered in the various masters of the UdG and in the Culture and Heritage Management postgraduate programme of the UB. Study and acquisition of the tools and knowledge linked to the general management of cultural heritage and cultural organisations.
- Practicum: 6 credits, which will be divided up into two blocks. A first block will be aimed at gaining good knowledge of the current reality in relation with the organisations that manage local cultural heritage. The second block will be focused on the group elaboration of a heritage project.
- Masters project: 12 credits. The project will be submitted at the end of the year and will be related with one of the aspects dealt with during the year.

Admission profile, previous education requirements and admission and selection criteria
