Students of the University of Girona are best represented in the Student Council, an entity recognized in the Statutes and made up of students from the University Senate who are freely elected from among and by their fellow students. The Council, in addition to offering various services to the student body, plays a decisive role in the shaping and implementation of education policies that affect them.
UdG students join associations according to their wide variety of interests. From political organizations to cultural action groups, from associations whose goal is to establish links with the business world or with other European associations to those that bring students together according to religious beliefs or recreational affinities, student extracurricular activities are highly diverse and reinvigorating.
